It was extremely nice, and doubtless difficult, for Racer to own up to having called me a whore and for his other comments.

IMO those comments aren’t representative of this site, or of Racer himself.

Kudos to him for being man enough to admit it and apologise. As far as I’m concerned he and I are fine.
(I could not care less if he likes me or if anyone does who doesn’t know me, but it’s bad form to slag other posters for purely personal reasons and create an environment that drives off normal people).

Good on racer, and I’d like it if we don’t discuss him further.

Since we’re on the subject - and since I feel a palpable tension in my solar plexis every time I see the word “haters” mentioned in this context, I’d like to make two things clear:

1. Although I have had and will continue to have my ups and downs with Ice, I was not involved in this name-calling.

2. It would never occur to me to use the word ‘whore’ as an insult to a woman. I have had several as friends in my life, and I have great respect for both the ethical choices they made and even more for their intelligence and integrity. .

I hope that all concerned will be able to wrap their minds around these two simple facts.
