It’s a good thing to do. Obviously it won’t bring back the deceased parent but I do think it can help heal old wounds. I’m actually surprised we have as pleasant a relationship as we do with Vietnam. Another reason why I thought Cruz/Rubio/Mendendez were overreacting about Obama hitting the reset button on Cuba.

I have considered the idea of going to Vietnam myself on one of their trips.

I don’t blame the Vietnamese for that crap-fest war. They’ve been putting up with foreign invaders ever since it was French Indochina. Not a fan of Ho Chi Minh here, but from the North Vietnamese view they were just fighting off another of a long line of invaders.
