I have considered the idea of going to Vietnam myself on one of their trips.

I don’t blame the Vietnamese for that crap-fest war. They’ve been putting up with foreign invaders ever since it was French Indochina. Not a fan of Ho Chi Min here, but from the North Vietnamese view they were just fighting off another of a long line of invaders.

We got tasked in cleaning up a French mess and a Vietnamese Civil War and the side we took weren’t nearly as pure as they portrayed themselves to be. Not that the Communists were saints but from what I know about Vietnam’s history, I understand why what happened happened.
