Just thinking out loud here, but perhaps Ghostship inadvertantly latched on to a larger point in his #168. In law enforcement, sometimes they have to cozy up to dirty people in order to get the info on DIRTIER people. I would keep a wary eye on Martin Mawyer, but I wouldn’t discount info he may have!

You might want to entertain the possibility that people like Mawyer tend to lie.
