Prisons are like a bad chapter in Lord Of The Flies. The only way to keep them from killing/raping each other is to lock them down individually. My BiL was just transferred to another state where the 2 black gangs (everyone joins a gang in prison) are continually going at it. They were locked down for the last 5 weeks. No phone calls, no tv, no exercise, no visitors.

For 5 weeks? That’s rather grotesque. People think we should treat all prisoners like animals or worse. Were they allowed books or other reading material?
