And that income is not taxed equitably. The non earned income is not taxed as income from work. So they get the wealth without having to cover the taxes that a working person would have to pay for that same income. Because they wrote the law to make it that way.

It depends how you define equitably. It has been said before and I will say it again, the tax code is not and should not be about “fairness”. Fair is a subjective thing. The tax code should be about maximizing revenues while not hurting the economy as a whole, which would have the effect of reducing revenues in the end. Is that point somewhere north of 15%, probably, but it is not likely to be as high as the income tax rate.
