Exactly and I just wish more gun advocates would be honest about that. Listen, if you want a gun to protect your family. I completely understand. You like hunting? Ditto that. Like target shooting? Ditto. Feel paranoid about the government coming to get you? I’ll even grant you that as long as you don’t get in the way of my right to live peacefully.

There’s a whole host of regulations that can be enacted that will not effect any change on legal, law-abiding gun owners. But every infinitesimal step is part of the grand conspiracy to eventually confiscate all guns according to gun-rights advocates. There’s millions of dollars in lobbying behind that idea from the weapon manufacturers, and none of that will ever change.
