Substitute “mass murder” for “holocaust”, and you’ll agree that the church proscribes mass murder. The church also adheres to the Ten Commandments in Torah. The book of Esther, a Tanak (Old Testament) account of an early attempted genocide of the Jewish people, and part of the Christian canon, cements the church’s position against genocide.

The Catholic Church opposes genocide. The Catholic Church condemns holocaust. The only issue is the degree of punishment to be meted out for defending mass murder.
