It’s a couple of things. The problems included: 1) not getting the transmission lines authorized to run to where his wind farms were to be located; 2) financing fell through with the credit crunch; 3) natural gas prices dropped so that it makes the cost for wind power that much more expensive and less desirable than other power sources that are more stable.
