The letter from the USCB calls him a schismatic bishop once and then refers to him as Bishop in several other sentences. While I do understand Williamson is a schismatic bishop, I think it’s disingenuous to say that non-Catholics find it hard to distinguish between bishops when the USCB itself can’t seem to make that distinction.

The problem is his title is the same and the MSM is not providing any context.

Captain John Smith, USN and Captain John Smith, Podunk PD are both captains and it would be correct to refer to them as such. But there is a big difference.
