Guess the unemployment lines in and around the gulf are gonna get bigger!

The 6-month moratorium - well, IT may end in six months.
But the rigs that are out there now are being leased long-term to companies to drill in other areas of the world. They cost $500,000 a day just sitting idle, so they cannot sit idle. They are beginning to be packed up and moved out now. Once gone, they will not be back.

So - the moratorium may end in six months.
Drilling, however, will be dead for much longer than that, I believe.
Unless something changes.
(New rigs, btw, take years to build. So there won’t be new rigs being popped out to replace those that are leaving.)
