Yes! Hard to believe. So many had almost no chance.

They didn’t even hold up planks of wood as shields or crawl across the ground. They marched upright shoulder to shoulder as if to say, go ahead and waste your ammunition on us. We have more soldiers than you can shoot. Stupid. And those were supposedly the great military minds of their time. I think they were all educated to the point of stupidity in how to fight a battle.
