15 years ago, over on the Bowsite, where I used to argue with conservatives, I said the big problem with climate change wasn’t that everything would be the same, but warmer. It was that for the entirety of human civilization - say, 10,000 years - climate has been pretty predictable, so you knew where you could build a city, or plant crops, and have it work out. Climate change threatens that predictability.
Of course they made fun of me. I’ve never wanted to be right about anything LESS than I want to be right about this.
