Well, the fortunate thing for us is that the Republicans don’t have to succeed in killing a bill to approve the deal, but instead have to get veto-proof majorities in both houses to support a bill rejecting the deal. So all the President has to do is keep enough Democrats on his side to deny Republicans those majorities.
Yeah, I think Tehran Tom and the rest of the Yahoos think this is a treaty that they can refuse to ratify. And even if it were, we could continue to adhere to it as long as a Democrat’s in the White House. We adhered to the SALT II treaty into the Shrub administration, even though we never ratified it.
