Yes I would have. I truly support the separation of church and state and I don’t even like it when a prayer is said on the floor of any legislative body in this country! Can I stop it from happening? Obviously not. Did anyone die as a result of the New Testament being passed out to those legislators in Maine? Nope, but some of us feel this is a foreshadow of things to come. Not a good way to start. That’s all. :D
