Except that isn’t clever because they are saying two different things. We should strive for a world that is perfect. But it isn’t and we should, right now, not get rid of our defenses against the very real threats posed by others who aren’t quite as high minded.

We’re not getting rid of our nuclear defenses. We’re just reducing our nuclear arms to the point where we can destroy the world 100 times, instead of 1000 times.
