DF’s problem would act like he wasn’t part of the right’s continued descent into madness because he would condemn things like Islamaphobia, homophobia, sexism but then he would say he had no choice but to vote GOP. I think for a lot of people, the final straw for him and his character was months after saying he’d never vote for Ted Cruz, he went ahead and voted for him. And then many of y’all on Twitter saw how two faced he was.

There were also those moments where the mask slipped and DF would approve of the most astonishingly horrible shit if done by others on Team (R) to help Team (R) ‘win’. That’s why I ended up deciding that all DF’s protestations that he personally was not a bigot were lies. He just didn’t want to be seen as being a bigot, and figured, correctly for the most part, that not being blatantly offensive and issuing a few condemnations would let the charade continue.

I wouldn’t pick on him like this, except this is the pattern for every damn Republican in the country who is not a blatant bigot. They are all ‘good Germans’ with respect to the extremist shit in the GOP.
