Remember forty years ago today, the Kennedys attended Mary Jo Kopechne’s funeral—Teddy in his neck brace doesn’t look too broken up about it in the picture accompanying articles about it. Joan Kennedy looked stoic.

Because she knew her husband was a lying, womanizing fuckup…I just don’t understand why she put up with his ass for another nine years though.
