Sloppy work.. There must be more back story than this…

This stuff works a lot different in real life than it does in the movies. There were probably 100’s of people involved in this; handlers, surveillance, coordinators, planners, forgers, technical support, various experts, communications, etc. The lone renegade assassin only works in spy novels. These operations are huge.
