Go with the suit/skirt route and don’t dress down. You want to look professional and first impressions count for a whole lot. You don’t want to send the wrong vibe by wearing jeans, even if the daily attire is much more casual than the business casual that has increasingly become the norm in business.

Our tech manager will walk through the developers batcave cube farm to inform us that we will have visitors the next day (or when ever). Tells us to dress up a little. So my response usually is, “Ok, I won’t wear my ‘Too drunk to fuck’ tee shirt”.
