Oh, that would be fun reading, if only for the insights to the mindset behind it psychologically. And speaking of such themes, I got in the mail today two book on just that topic: The Paranoid Style in American Politics by Hofstadter and Voodoo Histories by David Aaronovitch, which is a new one. Hope to get to them relatively soon.
