This is not a comprehension or admission issue. It’s a moment when I straight out disagree with your point as put. I fully admit guns are weapons when used in terms of actual violence.

It is simply denying reality to deny that guns are weapons. I’m sorry. This is beyond disagreement. Guns are weapons. Even if you buy it for sport, just as if I buy a katana that I only am going to use to practice swordplay, it is still a weapon.

Again, we are not required to need a gun. We are allowed to want it and use it within the law. That might be the single thing you should try to accept.

I completely accept that is currently the law. I’m not sure why you think I don’t.

What I am asking you is to deal with the fact that we have shitloads of people who have no business owning a gun, owning guns.

There is no irresponsible person here. We understand what we have.

But there are lots and lots and lots and lots of irresponsible people with guns. That’s who I’m asking you to think about, and who you’re steadfastly refusing to think about.
