The Right to Bear Arms is absolute and has noting to do with any sort of well regulated militia.

we as a society, and through legislation and the courts decided long ago that the RKBA is not absolute and some people should not possess/own weapons/guns:
- the mentally ill - whatever the definition
- certain criminals/felons, etc
- domestic abusers
- ‘terrorists’
- minors

if every transfer is not reasonably vetted, how are you keeping guns away from these people?
