Summers are grand up here at 8200 feet. I’ve lived in Dallas (hot but dry, dry helps a bit), Houston (hot and wet, if there was never a New Orleans, Houston would be it) and the East Coast (warm and wet), and none of those places have a summer that is comfortable. But Colorado, at least from Denver to the western slopes, tends to be rather comfortable in the summer. Of course Denver, is a little warmer in the summer, but the nights are bearable, up here, the nights are almost always back down to the 40’s-50’s and even it it hits close to 90 on some days in Aug., the surrounding air itself still retains some of that cool of the night and of course it’s dry.

It’s really almost perfect weather up here at 8200 feet in the summer.
