I don’t what they are, but they sound like Paulians. How do these assholes think that taking the military option off the table will further America’s policy of preventing Iran from acquiring nukes?

Today in WSJ they are reporting that the U.S. is in talks with Vietnam about providing assistance to VN’s nuclear program, including helping VN create its own nuclear enrichment operation.

Such help is useful to any nation seeking nuclear weapons. How can we complain about Iran’s getting that kind of capability, and then turn around and help Vietnam? If the assistance does its work, VN will be that much closer to having nuclear weapons, and we’ll have provoked China. If it doesn’t work, nothing will have changed except we’ll have wasted more money and provoked China.

In either case, we help Iran out with the awkward publicity surrounding its own nuclear program.

This is just nuts. Paging all grownups in the Obama administration, emergency on aisle U235.
