With me, it was figured out ways to make it at least palatable. Like eating collard greens with a good helping of yellow mustard.
At our boarding school, the rule was that each table of 6 kids, among them, had to eat everything that arrived at the table. It worked for years until the Cook Nun produced rhubarb pie. Cause a near riot, and kids were offering each other prized toys to those who could stomach extra shares.
