You pretty much nailed it. I don’t really talk politics; when my folks bring it up, and they always do, I just keep my mouth shut and nod and smile. Mrs. Fish I open up to a bit more, because she’s come around to being more moderate, like I have. My father-in-law is a conspiracy theorist and he keeps his wife under tight wingnut-style control, so I don’t talk politics with them, either. On the topic of extended relations: Apparently one of my brothers-in-law is a Trumpster. My wife said, “Yet another reason not to vote for Trump.” Atta girl, Mrs. Fish.
