It makes sense if you realize Trump had to be dragged kicking and screaming into picking Mike Pence. He was throwing a tantrum, that’s the real reason for the delays.

Which I also don’t get. I mean I think Pence sucks but he’s arguably the best option Trump had. Christie is a disgusting gut-pile with the worst approval rating in in gubernatorial politics. Flynn, despite his military record, is a Democrat who nominally supports a right to abortion and Gingrich is some kind of unholy demi-lich who is married to the Chicken Lady from The Kids in the Hall.

There were no good options.
