The article from the other day described the pro-8 campaign as “unprecedented”.

Indeed it was, in the sense that this was the first time all of CA was subject to incessant anti-gay propaganda.

However, it was also not unprecedented at all, in the sense that the anti-gay propaganda used by the pro-8 forces was the same old shit as always (i.e., “the perverts are coming for your children”).
