However, until a group of fanatical Christians blow up a school, killing 3000 people in the process, then ask to build a church within 1/2 a mile, your comparison is apples to oranges.

It’s valid in so much as the complete broad brushing of a religion. WTF does a Mosque have to do with 9/11?
Just like WTF would a Church have to do with the abuse scandal?
