Part of the Geller problem is that they tend to assume that any family homicide involving Muslims is ‘an honor killing’. I’ve seen them attach it to things like ‘Father kills wife, kids, self, after home is foreclosed on’. That’s a family annhilator, not an honor killing, and you see it in families across the religious and ethnic board.

Inversely, no domestic homicide done by non-Muslims is classified as an honor killing…even if the motives—shame, fear of loss of public face—fit.
