Butter, lard, or vegetable oil would do just fine. Vaseline, I dunno. But since it is always an educated guesstimate how potent the herbal ingredients are, since such things widely variate, the window between an effective and a lethal dosage has always been a mite ginchy, so it’s best to start at the low end, and only gradually augment…;~)
