Egypt has long been the recipient of huge amounts of U.S. aid, and the Saudis have long just been the recipient of huge amounts of U.S. money, tolerance, and protection. I suppose I don’t see Obama as doing any worse in this area than many another U.S. president—which is not to say that I don’t wish he would do better.
