Ecosystem adaptation really depends a lot on the rate of change (not only on the total amount of change in temperature in a given period)

I have no idea what you mean by ‘ecosystem adaptation’.

The impact of .3 per decade is exponentially worse than .2 per decade in terms of adaptability.

Again— what do you mean by adaptability? Our ability to adapt, or the ecosystem’s ability to adapt? Do you mean in terms of how many species will die, or what?

I think that there are a lot of uncertainties involved in predicting global impact on a 200 year time frame

I agree. However, the likelihood is that unknowns will make things worse, not better.

Predicting regional impact, while extremely difficult at a very specific llevel, is what is most certain.

What’s a ‘region’?
