Well, you’d think that birds and wildlife would understand not to fly into buildings, but they do - by the boatload. The Empire State Building turns off its main tower lights after midnight or so because migratory birds tend to get attracted to it and fly into the building - resulting in bird kill.

Rinse and repeat for the hundreds of skyscrapers that don’t turn off the lights, and you’ve got a far greater threat to birds.

Which is all the more reason to pursue nuclear technologies - less negative impact on the environment.

Another huge bird killers are house and feral cats. I always ask people that are stressed about turbines whether they have cats and whether they let them outside. Their cat likely kills more birds in a year then the that wind turbine they see in the distance.
