I used to have a friend who piped, and we would have him over for dinner, once a mouth. After dinner he would pipe, and our cat would rub his legs with her body and meowal for him to stop.

Cats get funny about certain noises. It almost bring out the best in them sometimes. Especially when the plead for you to stop. Or swat at a hair clipper or anything like that.
