He had a lot of vile insults hurled at him and did no more than snark in reply. Demonising him as a hater is obscene. If it is not possible to debate illegal immigration without such absurd charges then one has a very weak position.

Well, before I saw “drop it” come on let’s be serious. He didn’t make a heck of a lot of sense. That topic wasn’t even discussed. Frankly it was like an encounter at the local bar and grill. Everyone finished with that already so anything that proceeds from here deserves to be in a soap opera so I say drop it.
