So I take it that if you want to shut down all travel to and from Mexico, then you won’t mind if all the other nations in the world do likewise to travel to and from the US? (After all, we have the second largest number of infected.)

Other countries are already restricting travel from the U.S. and Mexico. In fact, most of the European countries started “holding” airline flights from both countries two days ago.
