My conflict is this. I worry that white bigots may see me and think they can get away with that crap not knowing my philosophy or that I have close cousins who are part African American and that I have a Latina niece. Or if they’re a PoC assuming that I’m unsympathetic. I’m polite to all my clients but I go out of my way to be with PoC and especially women.

That’s not something to worry about. It’s an opportunity to shame a racist when they act out because they think you’re one of them.
