We have managed to acquire $13 trillion of debt on our balance sheet… and in my view we have nothing to show for it. We haven’t invested in our roads, our bridges, our waste-water systems, our sewer systems. We haven’t even maintained the assets that our parents and grandparents built for us.

well, my city is invested in roads, repaving streets (I can only assume they’re doing something worthwhile to the pipes or power lines under the streets).

Unfortunately, they’re doing it from 8pm-1am, right below my windows. Which I like to keep open in this weather…
