Last call for alcohol in this town is generally 10 PM. They still don’t sell booze or wine at supermarkets or convenience stores. Heck, they finally stopped the Blue Law a couple of years ago. Still glad we don’t have state liquor stores. I hate those places — you know like in Pennsylvania. It’s like getting booze from the DMV.

We have state liquor stores here, and I go down to California often enough that I seethe with jealousy at my friends being able to just swing by safeway for cheap vodka.

But OTOH, we have fantastic beer available everywhere.
