That’s not a half bad idea. Maybe I should get my cats out more often. Then again, they’re fraidycats and would probably bolt for the door at the first breath of wind - heaven forbid if the neighbor kitty should come over to visit.

I leave our door open so they can bolt back inside if they get scared, and our sketchy one does it on a regular basis. But she gets over it and goes back out after a few moments.
