You know, maybe it says a lot about me and where I’ve come over the past ten years in both maturity and politics or that his side has gone completely ape shit but President Bush comes across as a decent guy to me now. I mean I have no regrets at all about supporting Gore and Kerry over him but I no longer hate the man and I think he’s a voice of reason in his party now.

George W. Bush comes across as a Loveable Dunce much of the time in my opinion he’d be a good friend, fun guy to hang around with, but not someone you’d want running the country, especially with Dick Cheney as his VP. There’s no meanness (well not much more than in any of us) to the guy he’s just lead a sheltered life, and we’d probably all be happier if Jeb had managed to win that 1994 election (he lost 49.2% to 50.8%) so he could have been in position to run for President in 2000 instead of his brother.

Because back then you needed to be Governor of a state for more than two years before you could be considered worthy of being President in the GOPs eyes….
