On the contrary, it means that House conservatives actually have their power amplified. If you don’t understand why, think back to how Gingrich’s power base virtually disappeared in the lead-up to his getting kicked out. A whole lot of shit is about to come down, and there’s gonna be a scramble by his confederates to avoid getting caught in the avalanche.
