He wants that but it won’t happen. As things stand he does have the votes and gaining them will take time. Senators are ultimately more vulnerable than most congressmen and thus will either need lots of favors or lots of pressure to vote for this turkey. My bet is that the bill gets gutted in the Senate and the final version in watered-down enough to be only mildly damaging, rather than a economy killer.

Frankly, the same is likely to happen with any proposed health care legislation, in my opinion.
