Not at all surprising; Roeder and his attorney are going to do everything the can to turn this into a podium from which to shout their message, and Roeder is happy to martyr himself doing it.

Sounds like the judge is more interested in seeing justice done than in allowing such bullshit. Good for him. I hope he sticks to his guns.

An appeal, of course, is inevitable. The whole point is to try to keep the cameras and microphones pointed in Roeder’s direction for as long as possible.
