… things are only getting worse for America, right?

/If only we could turn back time…

Why is it that every time I go to Rapture Ready all I see are posts about how horrible, violent, and sinful the world has become and how surely Jesus is coming to Rapture his flock any second now? They say this is because things simply cannot get any worse without the world breaking down into complete and utter anarchy.

I suppose this is because if you have no grasp or knowledge of world history whatsoever, even of the last 60 years, then things might seem horribly bad to you?

I recently saw a study that said the last three decades have been the least violent time in all of recorded human history to date. Depending on where and at what time you lived a european male stood as much as a 68% chance of dieing by violence rather than old age.

It would seem empirically that things are finally getting better, not worse…
