You basically decided you got to define what ‘conservative Christian’ means.

That’s the entire problem here.

Most of us know examples of conservative Christians that do not fit your broad-brush, so we’re rejecting your over-broad definition.

My parents are conservative Christians. They’re also Catholic, which according to you isn’t possible.

They have many and manifold failings but those are related to them as themselves, and not their religion. They do not require that I conform to their expectations, and are in fact very good at getting along with my brothers and I, even though we’re all godless atheists.

There’s enormous damage done in this country by conservative Christians on every level, from the political to the scientific to the educational. But it’s not done by every conservative Christian.

There are families of conservative Christians were the rigor and strictures of discipline are tantamount to child abuse. But it’s not all conservative Christians.

I have no idea why you’re grasping this broad brush so firmly, and why you’re insisting that your definition of conservative Christian is the only one allowed.
