I don’t think Obama will do that, because of the politics. As this stands the Democrats can use this to mobilize black voters without a federal presence. But if Obama sends in feds, he risks mobilizing conservatives with lines such as “Obama won’t send troops to defend the border but he’ll send them to protect rioters!”

Not to mention the chance that armed “Second Amendment” types will converge on the city to “defend” it against the “federal interlopers”. It could turn into a real clusterfuck.
