i posted that a dear friend, her husband and mom all got covid. serious covid.
i assumed unvaccinated.

we had a chat
they thought they all had covid a year ago
so they thought they were protected
and so they didnt vax yet
they did mask, distance and mostly do everything right. they were vigilant enough
they think they know who brought it into their house and when one got it, all three did

yeah, shouldnt have assumed
and should have asked a professional whether to vax anyway

just partially misinformed, my lifelong friend is not a nut who i have to disown

The bolded is why all these “natural immunity” assholes cause me to start grinding my teeth. They’re gambling on the off-chance that that cough they had last year means they’re permanently protected, some deluded enough to believe that they’ve even got better immunity than those who’ve received the vaccines. But they’re not just gambling with their own lives, they’re gambling with the lives of others for no other reason than to appease their own foolish pride.
